Tungsten carbide composite rods consist of hard WC grains (crushed or spherical) evenly embedded in a ductile metal matrix such as nickel, cobalt, or iron. These rods are manufactured through advanced powder metallurgy processes and are used as hardfacing materials to protect critical components against severe wear, impact, and corrosion. Retop offers composite rods with consistent carbide distribution, excellent bonding strength, and custom WC content to suit demanding applications.

Carbide composite rods are widely applied in oil & gas drilling tools (such as stabilizers, drill bits, and mud motor components), mining picks, construction cutters, and other surfaces exposed to intense wear.
